Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessment for All: An Evolving Process
With Dr. Toni Linder, Dr. Tanni Anthony and Dinah Beams
Transdisciplinary play-based assessment uses the natural structure of play to assess sensory-motor, emotional/social, communication, and cognitive function. Through structured play activities with family, peers and professionals, the needs of the child are identified. The information collected through these assessments provide teams with the information they need to write goals for the educational plan of the students and to design appropriate interventions. This session will focus on the Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessment Model with specific focus on research-based updates across domains. Introduction of the new online model will be included.
During the morning of the pre-conference, participants will learn about the components of transdisciplinary play-based assessment. During the afternoon, learners will divide into two break out sessions, focused on the unique needs of deaf/hard of hearing children and blind/low vision children.
Join us for this amazing learning opportunity.
