Barbara Schrag, M.Ed., has been providing services to families in Arizona who have deaf/hard of hearing children, birth to 5 years of age, for over 30 years. Barbara has her Masters Degree in Deaf Education and her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and Deaf Education. She is certified as a Parent-Infant Specialist for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing as well as a Cochlear Implant Educational Consultant. Barbara has her early childhood endorsement and was trained as a Deaf Mentor Trainer, SKI HI Curriculum Trainer and Shared Reading Project Trainer.
Barbara has worked in the Early Childhood Programs in Arizona for over 30 years as a Direct Service Provider, Supervisor of Programs and for the past five years as the Statewide Director. In July 2019 she reduced her work to three days a week and is acting as a Statewide Early Childhood Consultant to the Early Childhood Programs.
When not travelling all over the state to visit the Early Childhood staff and families, Barbara enjoys time with her own family. She runs and rides her bike to keep sane and is still trying to figure out how to successfully garden in the desert.
